Default The CLOCK is RUNNING!!

THE CLOCK IS RUNNING!!!
LESS THAN TEN DAYS TO GO!!

Treyarch has had
EVERYTHING at THEIR CONVENIENCE!!

PATCH 1.2 MUST BE RELEASED
AT THE USER"S CONVENIENCE!!

JANUARY 31, 2009!!

From before November 11, 2008 with all the FANCY BS promises and hype through the "Holiday Vacation" 'till now, its been ALL Treyarch's way...

Simply put, if the Patch is not out by January 31, 2009

IT'S SERVER BLACKOUT TIME!!!

You were asked, then begged and finally warned time and time again. Your manchild mouthpiece gave all of us nothing but sarcastic BS remarks in return. Now as we approach crunch time he's yapping about 8-10 weeks to do a patch. BS!! Patch 1.1 your now infamous Day *0* patch refutes that lie big time.

Forget the excuses, the BS reasons and reasoning - Especially the "Oh, we gotta do this and we gotta do that...." You gotta do one thing: Release Patch 1.2 on or before Jan. 31, 2009.

Treyarch, you should've done all your gotta's BEFORE you RELEASED this $50.00 box of BUGS and BS on us!! Now, do the right thing or kiss the entire enchilada goodbye... PC & Console users have run out of patience.

Treyarch - Get it done NOW!
** SPEND THE MONEY - PAY THE OVERTIME **

  • Fix Server Authentication Failures.
  • Fix Spawn Logic - not working properly in all gametypes.
  • Fix HTTP ReDirect it does not work.
  • Fix alt+tabbing out, and back you either get a black screen or a crash
  • Screenshots Broken - not incremental, they overwrite each other
  • Fix missing cg_drawfps feature & Fix cg_fov it resets with every round.
  • Add /record feature - Extremely important for competition.
  • Optional Head Icons & Name Tags for both Friendly and Enemy Players. - Players should not be able to put color in their name tags, like green to look like a teammate. Name tags should not show through walls - NO Enemy name tags at all or an Admin option.
  • Fix Enter Prestige, server reports "Primary grenade 0 is invalid. Setting to frag" in red text.
  • Co-op servers will show up correctly in server browser, many players have difficult joining others as well
  • LINUX BINARIES RELEASE
  • Fix when you quit the game, blue screen pops up and restarts computer
  • Fix unhandled exception errors appearing randomly
  • Fix areas where a clip or texture requiring a specific sound doesn't do so when walked across.
  • The Clipping/Collision/Blocking brushes should be more detailed. Far too many places in maps that should be accessible are clipped/blocked by straight line clipping. Rooftop access and climbing of trees are a plus thus adding to playability, all the promos showed tree snipers.
  • Mod Tools must be properly patched. All the mp prefabs for each game type (CTF,DS,HQ etc..) are missing also some of the basic csv files.
  • Fix the DVARS that are not write protected that allow Rank Raping.
We are suffering through never ending CRASHING SERVERS, countless program BUGS, BROKEN ROUTINES and CRAPOLA TOOLS!
  • Server Exploits
  • Map Exploits
  • Game Bugs
  • Editor Bugs
JANUARY 31, 2009!!
No More Excuses!

ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

Yep - I would also like to add, as well as Patch 1.2, please patch the ModTools, every step taken in mapping/modding currently turns to hell in a matter of minutes with the half-baked Tools we have!

Sad..... very sad this game has enormous potential. Those fools have frittered it away in a mudslide of bullshit!

Whomever makes the decisions at Activision/Treyarch has a real problem;

One can only imagine where we would be if they put even half the effort into patching as they have into giving us a list of excuses as to why it's taking so long.

Mappers/ Modders work damn hard in the name of entertainment and for the joy of the community, We all love and enjoy how people have fun with our creations, hundreds of hours working for free and loving it, also extending the life of the poorly supported games just because we like the game.

But first of all, we are ARTISTS and work by INSPIRATION, all this mess got us running out of it, and our patience.

We got to the computer in order to materialize our ideas while having fun, not to spend lot of unnecessary hours fixing your $#¡T.

FIX THE CRAP OR GAME OVER

I agree with you Mike. I ask with my other mates if they are agree to stop our COD5 servers if not patch go out.
Since CoD2, which allow a real administration, good mods and so goods maps, CoD franchise has became a bad and annoying game. So, i hope Treyarch will release the patch soon, else i will be very sad to bought this game 50€...
Why not launch a CoD2 day the first february ? CoD2 was awesome and allow admin, modders and mappers to make this game alive. With CoD5, it's always the same...

Any modders ever considered switching to HL2? You get a full sdk, cracking support everything a modder could want.

Considering a switch myself after RoR

i think it is a good idea to have a server blackout at the end of the month to force this issue.

1 thing i would just say is i dont know how much of the blame goes towards treyarch as opposed to activision.

looking through all the vehicle models you can tell that treyarch had alot stuff they wanted to have in the game including a gametype that focussed on the vehicles and you can tell they were forced to stop and drop what they were doing.

i think activision deserves most of the blame. activision always seems to give treyarch the shaft as a filler in between Infinitywards cod titles. activision seems to try to just get another cod title out using treyarch as cheaply as possible keeping treyarch as a mistreated stepchild.

and when talking about JD and his poor communication along with the rest of the treyarchs lack of communication. what are they supposed to say? i bet they were upset having to release the game in the state it was and being forced to drop things they were working on for the game along with having the proper bug testing and fixing. but treyarch cant come out and say that about activision, that would make activision look bad.

so for treyarchs lack of communication i dont know what they are really supposed to say thats probably why they have been so quiet until recently.

we had patches every few of weeks with the release of cod4 probably just like tally says because IW had alot more funding from activision for patching. treyarch might be able to do 1 more patch after 1.2. so they really have to get it right.

but no doubt we pc users got the shaft.

so anyways i personally am very frustrated with the whole state of the game and how it was released. but i would say the majority of the blame belongs to activision and not treyarch.

a COD W@W blackout is the right and practical thing to do to force this issue but i hope people remember activision is probably alot more to blame than treyarch IMHO.

let the black out begin....

I have put forth some serious thought into just that. maybe its time to move to Valve because no one and I do mean no one can come close to the support that Valve puts out.

Plus the fact the SDK is tops and so is the HL2 based games.

Insurgency mod for Half Life 2 comes to mind. Wizz is right imo, Valve is tops for support and it trully is an amazing engine.

Only problems with source is that the maps can't be nearly as big and forget about vehicles.

Not too bad for an infantry only mod. And the newer versions of the engine do make for some nice eye candy.

They BOTH share the blame for this fiasco equally for both the serious problems in WaW and lousy Consumer Support policies.

Correct, Treyarch appears to have been forced to release a substandard game by Activision's Marketing Group.

Not so sure about that.... I believe that the people at Treyarch who went along with this travesty solely for the money lost all self respect and realization of the true principles of their profession.

So much so, that now, they'll be embarrassed to put Treyarch on their resumes in the future. As for Treyarch being used as fodder for IW, if such was/is the case, then the people at Treyarch should all walk before they have no reputation left at all.

What were/are they supposed to say?? Simple: THE TRUTH! Misleading statements from both Activision/Treyarch will not be easily forgotten or overlooked. As it stands now, anything coming from Treyarch and/or JD is taken with a grain of salt because people are tired of being fed a line of bullshit. Also, the Nuremberg Defense does not and will not fit in this situation. Both Treyarch and JD will be held responsible for what they have done. Consumer Abuse is a serious offense these days.

Actually you are 100% correct, we did have patches every few weeks from IW. As a result, that FACT alone tears to shreds the Bullshit 8-10 weeks for a single patch that JD tried to push on us. Don't forget the swift release of Patch 1.1 the now infamous Day *0* patch. That patch "miraculously appeared" in no time at all. The 8-10 week JD scenario is pure Bullshit. They proved that themselves by their own performance.

Forget the dollars involved, we are talking about a multi-billion dollar corporation. The money would be no problem if they cared to support the product properly. They could very easily have forwarded at least two smaller patches already. They just have a shitbird policy in place that is going to bury both them and the game. Now that the situation is confrontational, they'll go stubborn and screw themselves and the game's potential by purposely not releasing on or before January 31, 2009.

Wolverine I like your quote, should we just adjust our sails?

This would be no different then MOHAA or the BF series when it comes to custom maps and mods, we have just been spoiled with CoD. You download the maps and put them in the proper directory and connect to server, usually the clans website will have a list of maps they are playing. This is what we did back in the days. And with CoD 4 and 5 there is not limit to how many maps you can have in your folder server side.

We had a very popular MOHAA custom map server a few years back. We used GFX winzip program that would auto extract the maps into the proper directory. Mods are small enough the 20kb per second works good enough from what I have seen
